Hydroponic microgreens

They're nutritious. Many microgreens are four to six times higher in vitamins and antioxidants than the fully grown plant, according to the U.S. National Library of Medicine.

How long do hydroponic microgreens take to grow?

Microgreens are ordinary vegetables harvested at little more than seedling stage, soon after the first adult leaves have developed when they're about one to three inches (3-8cm) tall. This makes them very speedy crops indeed because they are ready just five to 25 days after sowing – great news for impatient gardeners!

Do hydroponic microgreens need nutrients?

Nutrient solution: Microgreens can germinate without any fertilizer application. However, providing mineral nutrients to microgreens will increase yields. Providing 75 to 150 ppm N from a complete, balanced, water-soluble fertilizer will enhance growth, though the concentration to use depends on your production system.
